Sponges have always been important in the history of mattresses. Mattresses, which were first produced as filling with cotton and similar materials, have become stronger and more stable with sponge over time. While springs and sponge or filling materials were located separately in the physical parts of the mattresses, all components were gathered together over time.
Since the day they started to be used in mattresses, sponges are classified according to their degree of hardness as in all other areas. Today, however, these classes are much more advanced and equipped with much more detailed features.
With the features in their structure, they can be produced in a way that their permeability or reaction to heat is much more controlled. Thanks to this power of control over the production processes and materials of sponges, many mattresses today have extra features and are as decisive as other components of the mattress in meeting expectations in many areas.
