Foam has always been important in the history of mattresses. Mattresses, initially filled with cotton and similar materials, have become stronger and more stable over time with the introduction of foam production. In earlier mattresses, the springs and foam or other filling materials were placed separately to build the mattresses, yet over time, all components were gathered together for the modern version of the mattress we have gotten used to now.
Since day one of use in mattress production or other industries, foam has always been classified according to its firmness degree. Today, however, these classes are much more advanced and foam itself is equipped with much more detailed features.
Foam structure features allow it to be produced with greater control over permeability or reaction to heat. Thanks to this available power of control over the production processes and materials of foam, many mattresses today have extra features and serve as decisive components of the mattress in meeting expectations.
